Q. Where will our photo session be held?

A. We primarily shoot our sessions outdoors although during summer months, we may rent an indoor studio or use our small in home studio. Locations are chosen based on the session requests but are usually within a 30 minute drive of Aubrey, Texas or in Denton County or Collin County.

 

Q. I don’t live near you, will you travel to me for a shoot?

A. We do schedule travel sessions on occasion. It depends on the location and how long/involved the travel is. We require travel expenses to be paid in addition to your session fees. If you choose a location we travel to often, then those fees may be reduced or waived. For example, we travel to Northwest Arkansas (our hometown) often, and also to Orlando often. At times, there may be a possibility of traveling internationally to England, Scotland or Ireland.

 

Q. How much will I spend?

A. We do our best to be open with our costs so you are always aware of what you will be spending. Two of our packages include images and/or products. One package is a session fee only. If you choose to pay the session fee only, you will receive a price list in advance of your session that gives you product options and pricing. On average, most clients spend approximately $600 - $1000. The variance depends on choice of prints, albums, or large wall art and how many of those you would like for your home or for other family members.

 

Q. can you edit photos from another photographer for me?

A. The short answer is no. We do not edit work by other photographers unless the photographer themselves is asking or has given written permission. If you have images that are from a session with another photographer, I’d urge you to look at their style presented and see if the images match the quality of their style. If needed, reach out to that photographer to discuss what options or fees would be involved to work with them for any additional editing you might like to have.

I am always happy to discuss these things with you if you are my client although if the edit requests are above and beyond the normal editing, there are sometimes additional fees for the extra services. Some things are not possible in Photoshop realistically so we typically do not make changes such as makeup adjustments (ask us about recommended hair and make up artists and don’t go too far outside your usual look), thinning a client’s body (be proud of who you are!), or changing other parts of an image that removes a natural part of it.

 

Q. how long before my images are ready to view?

A. Our turn around time for images is 2-4 weeks. If you need your images sooner than 4 weeks, please let us know you would like to add a rush service and we can let you know if that can be accommodated for an additional fee. For example, if you are in need of a photo for a graduation announcement that should be sent out in April, then I’d suggest planning your session for February or March to give plenty of time for your images to be processed, the graduation card to be created (we offer this additional service) and the printer (we have printing services through labs we trust) to complete the cards and ship them to you.
