Blogging England: A French Inspired Valentine's Date

This is probably the only year we'll ever spend Valentine's Day in England.  (I hope!)  My husband works long hours during the day but he made plans to leave work early and take me to dinner.  He came home dressed in his suit from work carrying a dozen roses.  This was perfect because we've been married for 12 Valentine's Days. It's our 23rd year celebrating this holiday together.

He picked a French inspired restaurant just a short walk from our flat.  It is nestled on the River Thames and features a view right on the river, of the Windsor/Eton Bridge, and Windsor Castle.  We were seated in a cozy table for two right next to the window.  It was a rainy evening but on a nice day, they have seating outdoors right next to the river.

This was our view from our table by the window.

It was dark and rainy on Valentine's Day, so I went back and took this image of the restaurant a few days later.
